ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
FOR TUNA TRIPS
The following might come in handy on a tuna trip:
- Food & drink for 2 or 3 days NO
GLASS BOTTLES, PLEASE!!!
Ice chest to store it in (Please leave your big fish-toting
chests in your vehicles until your return unless you are using
one for 3 or 4 people’s food & drink.)
- Eating utensils
- Sleeping bag & pillow (cotton bags don’t slide around
quite as bad if the water is choppy?)
- Raingear & rubber boots (these really save your clothes),
OR
- Just really old clothes that you don’t care about &
non-skid shoes
- Camera or video camera (might have a chance to get an awesome
shot of some action or a sunset or sunrise)
CHECK IN ON THE BOAT AT 7 P.M. &
DEPARTURE AT 8 P.M.
The MS. MAGOO is located on Float
#6 – first boat on right hand side. You
may begin loading your gear at 6 p.m., unless the crew tells
you otherwise. The boat provides coffee, fresh drinking water
& a microwave. All gear & bait is provided. If you have
your own gear you would like to bring, please limit it to 2
rods per person. Space is limited. The MS. MAGOO is equipped
with a brine-refrigerated fish hold which keeps your fish in
good shape for the cannery, should you choose to trade it for
canned. WE DO SPLIT UP THE CATCH EQUALLY. If
you would like to keep just what you catch (mark your fish),
you will need to discuss this with the deckhand before you begin
fishing.
Finally, BE SURE TO CALL US THE MORNING OF YOUR TRIP
TO ENSURE THAT YOUR TRIP HAS NOT BEEN CANCELLED OR DELAYED DUE
TO WEATHER CONDITIONS OR SOME OTHER UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES.
ALL TUNA TRIPS MUST BE PAID IN FULL AT
LEAST 60 DAYS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS OF
DEPOSITS WITHOUT A 60 DAY NOTICE OF CANCELLATION, UNLESS WE
CAN REFILL YOUR SPOT.
If you have any questions, please call or email us; but most
of all, ENJOY YOUR TRIP!!
Thank you,
The MS. MAGOO Crew
P.S. Maybe some Ibuprofen or Aleve for your sore muscles! |
